Mrs. Baker earned her bachelor's degree in Business Management from Mid America Nazarene University and her Master’s Degree in Education from Rockhurst University. She grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus as her savior when she was 7 years old. Mrs. Baker has three children. Her youngest daughter is a student at Northland Christian. She and her family attend The Avenue Family Church. In her free time Mrs. Baker enjoys traveling, reading, cooking, and spending time with her family.
Having been reared in kingdom-schooling, Mrs. Boyles has a passion to see families, churches, and schools work together to introduce young ones to salvation through Jesus Christ and then to disciple them toward the fullness of a mature believer. After spending some time in foreign missions, she attained her Bachelor's degree from MWSU in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish and earned her Master's degree in Education from Mid-American Nazarene University. Mrs. Boyles has been married to her high school sweetheart, Philip, for about three decades, and they have two grown sons who were blessed to attend Northland Christian from K-12.
Robin, a native of West Plains, came to know Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior as an eight-year-old while attending Frist Baptist Church. After high school, she went on to earn her degree in Chemistry from Missouri State, and later an MBA at Mizzou, where she met her future husband, Jesse. In 1998, her professional life led her to Deloitte Consulting and in 2000 and she and Jesse relocated to Kansas City. After six years, she made the choice to step away from her career to devote herself to raising her children - Joseph NCS Alum 2022, Noah NCS Class of 2024, followed by William and Mariel, (NCS class of 2026 and 2028 respectively). Robin's deep passion lies in cultivating meaningful connections. She volunteered at NCS for 9 years and has been an engaged member Antioch Bible Baptist Church since her move to Kansas City. Her interests encompass travel, literature, cinema, and, as of 2023, SCUBA diving.
Mrs. Carlson has a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Organizational Communication from NWMSU and a Master’s in Organizational Communication from UNO. She was immediately drawn to the presence of the Spirit and Christ-centeredness of the amazing staff at Northland Christian. She and her better half, Rance have three boys that have attended NCS since pre-school.
Mrs. Edwards earned her Early Childhood & Elementary Education degree from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, MO and her Master’s in Curriculum Instruction from Webster University in St. Louis. She grew up in a Christian home and accepted Jesus into her heart at the age of 5. Her family attends church at The Rock of KC. Mrs. Edwards and her husband have three sons who attend NCS. Mrs. Edwards loves partnering with families to help provide a positive experience in both ECC and in Kindergarten. Aside from spending time with her family, flower gardening and snuggling her dogs, she is passionate about early childhood development and education.
Mrs. Fuehring graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a bachelor’s degree in Religious Education. She and her husband Brett have three children - a daughter and two sons who are all graduates of Northland Christian. Mrs. Fuehring is the middle and high school Student Council Advisor. She enjoys traveling, reading, decorating and coordinating events for the school.
Michael Huth earned his AA degree in Religious Studies from Sheffield and his CTE Certificate from the University of Central Missouri. He began his service career as a firefighter and security officer in rural Missouri in 1992 and joined the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department in 1995 where he worked as a police officer and instructor until his retirement. Michael has been training military, security, law enforcement, and corrections personnel in tactics and general courses since 1998 and also testifies in court cases as an expert witness and provides consulting services to organizations through his company Paladin Tactics and Consulting. He has served as a Youth Leader and Assistant Youth Leader in multiple churches and enjoys mentoring today's youth. Michael has shared the past 25 years with his best friend and they spend most of their time with their four children and serving in various ways.
Renee Immink attended Central Bible College where she studied Missions. Before coming to NCS, she spent her career working in the medical field, in hospital management and employee training and development. She and her husband have one daughter, Ellie, who attends NCS. Renee loves to laugh and finds her strength in the joy of the Lord.
Dr. Kallin has worked at Northland Christian since 2007. He earned his Masters of Divinity (MDiv) and Biblical Archaeology degrees from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2006-07, as well as his Master’s in Theology (ThM) and Doctor of Ministry (DMin) degrees in 2019. He is married and has four wonderful children.
Keven McKee earned his bachelors degree in Chemistry and General Science from Missouri State University and his masters degree from Midwestern Baptist Seminary. He has served youth in church and academic environments since 2009. His passions include equipping youth, traveling, reading, outdoor adventures, and anything science or theology related. He met his wonderful wife at NCS (where she teaches high school mathematics). They have been married since 2017.
Daniel grew up in Wichita, KS where he attended Sunrise Christian Academy. After high school, he earned a Bachelor's degree in Sports Management from Wichita State University. His passion for sports and coaching led him to coaching basketball at Sunrise for ten years. In 2015 he moved to Kansas City to be the Director of Youth Programming for MOKAN basketball. He also has experience working as the Sports and Rec Manager at The Jewish Community Center. Daniel and his wife, Madison met in Kansas City and got married in 2017. They have two boys, Dawson and Jaxon. They enjoy attending sporting events, exploring outdoors, spending time with their families, and serving in the children’s area at Discover Church.
Mrs. Melton has a Bachelor’s degree in Intercultural Studies from Briercrest College in Canada. She grew up in West Africa and then spent 3 years with her husband and two daughters in the Middle East. She loves to bake, play games with her family, and add stamps to her passport. She has two daughters who attend Northland Christian.
Mrs. Millsap attended Ouachita Baptist University, where she studied music. She grew up in Arkansas and was raised in a strong Christian home, where she accepted Jesus as her Savior at the age of five. She is married to Matthew, and they have three children, Natalie, Parker, and Sawyer, who all attend NCS.
Mrs. Montgomery earned a bachelor's degree in Spanish with minors in Communication and Folklore from Truman State University. She is the head coach of the Crimson Line dance team. She came to know the Lord after being invited to youth group by her best friend while in middle school. Mrs. Montgomery and her husband Sam have three boys, all of whom attend Northland Christian.
Mr. Montgomery earned a bachelor's degree in social science from Azusa Pacific University, and completed master's work in coaching and athletic administration at Concordia University in Irvine, Calif. A native of Escondido, Calif., he spent over 20 years in collegiate athletics before joining the staff at NCS. He and his wife, Kara, attend Northland Mission Church and have two daughters at NCS - Addie and Kacie. He enjoys attending sporting events, cooking in his backyard and going to concerts.
Melissa earned her accounting degree from Hannibal LaGrange College, where she met her husband, and has spent her career working in the accounting departments of both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. She and her husband moved back to Kansas City in 2020 and have two children at NCS, Beckin and Piper.
Mr. Prewitt earned his Bachelor’s degree in Education from William Jewel College, his Master’s degree in Secondary Administration from UMKC, and his Education Specialist degree in superintendency from UCM. He was blessed to grow up in a Christian home and accepted Christ at 8 years old. He enjoys almost every sport, and anything related to classic cars. He and his wife, Tammy, have been married 38 years. They have 3 adult children and 3 grandchildren.
Ginger earned her degree in Accounting from KCKCC, then went on to study Business at University of Missouri, Kansas City. Ginger and her husband, Zach, have one daughter who is a Northland Christian graduate.
Jeannie has been married to Roger for 40 years, and they have three children, Brad, Ashley, and Cassie. Jeannie and Roger have ten grandchildren, eight of which attend NCS. She and her husband attend Hope Church. She has been part of NCS since its inception in 2006 and was one of the school’s founders. Jeannie is the CEO and co-founder of The Scarbrough Group. Jeannie said that she felt called to serve on the board because “I feel and believe to be very God led to build Christian education and to help play a part in building NCS directly.” She has a heart for helping others and an entrepreneurial heart that she wants to use for the Lord's work.
Ryan is married to Katrina, and they have two sons, Kellan and Paxton, who are secondary students at NCS. They’ve been part of NCS since 2013. He and his family attend Antioch Bible Baptist Church. Ryan is the Director of Virtual Construction at US Engineering Construction. Ryan said he felt called to serve on the board because “I believe whole-heartedly in Kingdom Education and raising our children to know and love God. I felt called to serve on the Board as an opportunity to share my time and collaborate with others that have the same passion for today's generation. I also viewed this as a way to contribute to our community through Northland Christian.”
Brooke is married to John, and they have three children, Gavin, Lucas, and Taytum. Their two youngest are secondary and elementary students at NCS. They attend New Life CityChurch. She and her family have been part of NCS since 2018. Brooke works for SS&C Technologies, Inc. Brooke said that she felt called to serve on the school board because “I am passionate about kingdom education and preserving the application of a biblical worldview within our schools.” Brooke also serves as a volunteer at the NCS Welcome Center.
Shane is married to Jill, and they have three children, Vince, Michael, and Violet. Both of his boys are elementary students at NCS; his daughter will join soon. Shane and his family attend Liberty Baptist Church, where he serves as a deacon. He and his family have been part of NCS since 2017, and have had their children here since preschool. Shane is a realtor with Keller Williams KC North and the Eric Craig Real Estate Team in Smithville. Shane said that he felt called to serve on the board because “There is an immense need in our culture for schools that will teach and model a biblical worldview. In light of that reality, I can’t imagine many weightier tasks than to serve on this school board. I’m humbled by the opportunity to play a role in securing a sound education, grounded in the truth of Scripture, for so many children in the Kansas City northland area.”
Mike is married to Sally, and they have two children, Cole and Kaityln, who are both secondary students at NCS. Mike and his family attend Journey KC. They’ve been part of NCS since 2019. Mike is on the executive leadership team at Clarkson Construction. Mike said he felt called to serve on the board because “I'm passionate about providing a Kingdom Based educational system which brings biblical truths to the classroom while providing a high quality education first and foremost, while also providing opportunities for well rounded skill sets via co-curricular opportunities that develop the mind, body and spirit.” Mike is a founding member of the non-profit ministry E6 Ministries.
Sherri is married to Bob, and they have three children, Luke, Hannah, and Molly. Her daughters are graduates of NCS and her husband, son, and son-in-law have both been involved with coaching at NCS. She has one grandson and another on the way! She and her husband attend Revolution Church. Sherri has been part of NCS since its inception in 2006. Sherri said she felt called to serve on the board because “I love this school and it has been a gift to our family. With a strong desire to see students and their families surrendered to Jesus and becoming all He’s called them to be, it seemed a worthy endeavor to champion Kingdom Education and offer whatever I have to see this school be able to serve as many families as He gives us. May Northland Christian always boldly proclaim His truth and forever testify of His goodness and faithfulness!” Sherri volunteers weekly at the NCS Welcome Center.
Steffan is married to Michelle, and they have three children, Isaac, Levi, and Emma. All three attend NCS, their sons are in secondary and their daughter is in elementary. He and his family attend Crossroads Community Church in Kearney, MO. They’ve been part of NCS since 2019. Steffan works as the Deputy CEO of his family’s company, Key Companies. Steffan said that he felt called to serve on the school board because “I felt that Christian Education was vitally important to our children and I wanted to help continue building on the Kingdom Education foundation these schools were founded on.” He also said that “I believe that the biggest mark we can leave on this world is through our children. I want my children to know Jesus and be able to follow Him and lead others to Christ. I believe that NCS is there to partner with my family and my church to do that.” He and his company established the Lil' Red Foundation.
Tammie is married to Lamar, and they have three children, Kyle, Cordell, and Connor. Cordell and Connor are both graduates of NCS. Tammie and Lamar have six grandchildren. She and her husband attend The Calling Community Church in Platte City, MO. Their family has been part of NCS since 2007. Tammie is self-employed, supplying small businesses with office and bookkeeping support. Tammie said she felt called to serve on the board because “My children were attending NCS at the time and I was so grateful for the biblical education they were receiving and the godly role models in their lives. I desired to serve the Lord in a capacity that I knew was making a kingdom difference in the lives of children and youth, my children as well as others. What greater work is there than to focus on building godly character into them while providing a rigorous education that equips them for life? Several years before my involvement on the board I had prayed that God would allow me to be part of something bigger than myself. He answered my prayer through NCS, as I have seen the tremendous and powerful hand of God at work in this school.”
John has been married to Julie since 1986, and they have two children, Sam and Sadie. Sam, his wife Collins, and Sadie are all graduates of NCS. John and Julie have two grandchildren. They also have five great nieces and nephews attending NCS. He and his wife attend Outreach Christian. John co-founded NCS in 2006, and has ties to Life Christian Academy dating back to 1999. When asked why he felt called to serve on the board, John said “My involvement in LCA and NCES is a total God thing. I could have never accomplished where we are today, nor would I have ever tried, had God not called and led me to serve Him this way.” He also wanted to leave this word: Christian parents are called to "train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it" Proverbs 22:6. We must do everything we can (should) so that we can say, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth” 3 John 1:4.
